These are my goals for Arden Arcade, Carmichael, East Sacramento, College Glen, & Foothill Farms
OPEN GOVERNMENT, RESPONSIVE TO ALL
An open government accessible to all will be needed to move District 3 and Sacramento County toward a better future.No more ballot measures for new taxes without having all business arrangements nailed down and known to the public . Remember the Arena Tax Proposal defeated by 80 percent of the voters?
Help unincorporated communities explore the alternatives of incorporation or annexation to existing cities.
For communities who want to remain unincorporated, expand the authority of the Community Councils and decentralize County urban services such as planning, code enforcement, animal control. FINANCIAL COMMON SENSE
The County can no longer conduct business as usual. We must find choices other than more taxes or reduced service.Establish an independent blue ribbon panel that includes ordinary citizens and County employees to review County operations and identity opportunities for cost reductions.
No new taxes or increases until the County demonstrates operations are as efficient and effective as possible. INCREASED ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
For the sake of our children and grandchildren, the County must do more than pay lip service to environmental protection.Build where transit service exists to avoid more traffic congestion.
Protect the American River Parkway with access for all.
Quality parks for all.
